ABOUT
LEAF CURL
Leaf curl is a fungus
that affects the leaves of fruit trees. The leaves that are
affected becomes curled and really deformed as you can see
in the picture the middle leaves are really badly deformed
and has changed colour. As the leaf curl progresses the leaf
gradually becomes a lighter green to the other leaves. The
leaf if left untreated becomes brown and falls off. There
is nothing worse than seeing a beautiful healthy fruit tree
get leaf curl so it is worth all the trouble you go through
to keep it healthy and to be able to eat the great tasting
fruit off them.

NATURAL SPRAY
FOR LEAF CURL
My husband makes up a natural
spray and sprays the trees just as they are beginning to get
leaves on them and again when the leaves are all on the tree.
The natural spray consists of soapy water, crushed garlic
and parafin oil all mixed together and left to stand for a
day. Tip the spray mixture into your spray bottle and spray
the trees all over until the leaves are all wet with the spray.
The parafin oil is what makes the mixture stick to the leaves.
If you like saving water like we do just use your washing
water as the soapy water. We also use plant derived washing
liquid so there is not any poison in the water.
